Enquiries regarding training to become an ELSA

Information on the ELSA role may be found within the About ELSA section of the ELSA Network website. All training and supervision of ELSAs is managed locally by educational psychology services. Contact details are listed in our website area directory. Those wishing to be trained as ELSAs must be enrolled on a local course by their employing school.

Requests to add links to resources and other websites

If you are contacting us to request adding a link to our useful links or resources pages, please note that we will only consider these if of direct relevance to the work of ELSAs supporting children in schools. We will only consider recommendations for resource links from non-profit organisations based within the UK.

The ELSA Network is run by volunteers in their own time alongside their regular employment. As the volume of requests can be overwhelming we are not able to reply to requests that do not fit the above criteria.

Requests to collaborate

The ELSA Network steering group comprises educational psychologists who, because of their personal commitment to this initiative, give some of their personal unpaid time to support ELSAs and ELSA trainers. Unfortunately, they do not therefore have capacity to collaborate in joint ventures with services beyond the educational psychology profession.

Individual Casework Enquiries

Please note that the ELSA Network cannot become involved in individual casework. In case of any concern regarding the involvement of an ELSA with your child, please speak directly with a member of senior management at the school to discuss your specific concern.
